This role partners daily with existing and prospective suppliers, the inventory team, staff analyst, retail managers and patient consultants. Experience working in a high-volume retail or wholesale environment with a large number of SKUs and vendors is essential. California cannabis inventory management experience is essential for this role.

Qualities We Are Seeking:

Qualifications:

  • Prior inventory management experience (2-5 years)
  • Prior management experience leading large teams (1-3 year)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or previous cannabis management experience
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check (after signed offer letter)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the medical cannabis industry
  • Experience working in the health & wellness industry
  • Proven ability to manage teams effectively and ensure excellence in training and performance
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Google Drive, Google Sheets)
  • Proficiency in Metrc (Cannabis Track and Trace Software)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize day to day operations of the inventory department
  • Partner with buying team to ensure the appropriate selection of salable products are compliant and available at all times
  • Provide employees with guidance, growth opportunities and product knowledge. Ensure a safe, positive and productive work environment
  • Demonstrate leadership and compassionate management. Delegate duties and responsibilities to staff and supervisors
  • Build trust with vendors and team.
  • Prepare for asset protection in case of major incidents, emergencies, natural disasters and crises.
  • Stay abreast of all cannabis industry specific legislation, actions and enforcement
  • Create and maintain work schedules that accommodates the needs of the organization, scheduled inventories and team members
  • Ensure dispensary compliance with internal, local and state regulations
  • Ensure department equipment is functional and maintained
  • Use discretion with sensitive and confidential security and business information
  • Attend meetings as necessary
